Sapphiron Abilities

1. Chill is an aoe ice storm, it goes around the room at all times throughout the fight, sometimes there will be more then one. It deals 3,500 - 4,500 damage every 2 seconds the raid member is in it.
2. Frost Aura will hit everyone in the raid for 1,200 frost damage every second until the boss dies. If your raid does not kill Sapphiron in 15 minutes the damage will increase to 7,200.
3. Frost Breath (Phase 2) will occur after two Ice Bolts, your raid needs to run behind the ice blocks to line of sight the damage. If you are hit by this, it will kill you.
4. Ice Bolt (Phase 2) will be cast on 2 raid members, placing them in an ice block dealing 2,600 - 3,400 damage. Raid members with in 5 yards will be hit for around 15,000 when the ice block shatters.
5. Life Drain is a curse that deals 2,190 - 2,800 damage to two raid members every 24 seconds, and heals Sapphiron for 4,375 - 5,625 every 3 seconds.

Sapphiron Strategy

1. It is recommended to have 300 frost resistance, this is not mandatory but does help. This fight will only need 1 tank, so off-tanks throw on your DPS gear or can respec for the fight.
2. The tanks needs to turn Sapphiron so his back is to the party, no one should stay near Sapphiron's tail!
3. Everyone needs to move out of Sapphiron's Chill ability, tanks should be healed through the chill!
4. Melee should stand near Sapphiron's hind leg, this will help not being hit by cleave or tailslap.
5. Raid members on Life Drain dispel need to make sure they are in range of everyone in the raid, it is very important to remove the curse fast.
6. When Sapphiron goes into the air Phase 2 will start.
7. When the first person is Ice Bolted the raid should spread out around him/her, making sure they are at least 5 yards away. After the second Ice Bolt everyone must run behind one of the Ice Blocks to avoid taking damage from Sapphiron's Frost Breath. Once this is over the tanks runs in and Phase 1 begins again.
