Lady Vashj is the last boss inside Serpentshrine Cavern. The fight consists of 3 phases, 2 of which you can damage her.
Phase 1
Phase 1 is a usual tank and spank fight and will last until she gets to 70%. The raid should be spread apart to avoid her static charge. It's a good idea to do the inital pull with a misdirect and have a Shaman keep their
Grounding Totem up to absorb her
Shock Blast. Paladins should take turns using their
Hand of Freedom on rooted tanks. She has a few special attacks during this phase.
- Melee: 3k on plate.
- Shoot:Ranged ability that hits for 5k and only used if nobody is in melee range.
- Multi-Shot: Another ranged ability that hits up to 5 targets for roughly 6500 damage.
- Shock Blast:Deals 9k damage to the target and stuns them for 5 seconds. Note:The stun drops aggro!
- Entangle Roots: Will effect a random target within 15 yards. This is just like the Druid's spell in that it immobilizes you and causes 500 damage every 2 seconds. You can have a Paladin use their Hand of Freedom to get the target out as well as Shapeshift, PVP Trinket, Blink, and the Human Racial.
- Static Charge: Deals around 2k damage a tick to the target and anyone within 5 yards of them.
Phase 2
Phase 2 begins at 70%. It's important that your raid be in the correct positions. Wow Wiki has a great diagram for the positioning. You have around 40 seconds to get in your spots. Lady Vashj shields herself becoming invelnerable and only casts Forked Lightning which deals around 2500 nature damage. The only way to break down the shield is to use Tainted Cores on the Shield Generators. You loot these off the Tainted Elementals. At this time the four different adds start to spawn.
- Coilfang Elites: Should be tanked and killed by the tanks and melee.
- Coilfang Striders: These should be kited by a raid member and any ranged DoT should be applied.
- Enchanted Elementals: The ranged should be DPSing these guys down.
- Tainted Elementals: Kill these guys ASAP as they despawn after 15 seconds. You need to loot the Tainted Cores in order to break down the shield. Having a core in your inventory will render you unable to move, but you can throw it to a friendly player. It can turn into a game of hot potato if you are not positioned correctly.
Time the take down of the last shield carefully. You don't want too many elites running around when Phase 3 begins.
Phase 3
Phase 3 begins at 50% and resets aggro. This is a repeat of Phase 1 with the addition of Sporebats. Their spawn rate accelerates with time, so try to get them down fast. If too many are around, your raid will likely wipe from their AOE
poison. Start out the Phase by killing any remaining adds from the second Phase. Have the ranged DPS AOE down the bats for a bit, but when you start to get many have them switch back to Lady. They key here is to down her before the Sporebats cause a wipe.
