Brew of the Year Achievement

Sample 12 beers featured in the Brew of the Month club. You must purchase a Brew of the Month Club Membership Form from either Blix Fixwidget in Durotar or Belbi Quikswitch in Dun Morogh for 200 Brewfest Prize Tokens. The Membership Form begins a quest that will send you to either Larkin Thunderbrew in Ironforge or Ray'ma in Orgrimmar. You can earn these tokens by completing the Brewfest quests and dailies:

Horde Brewfest Quests

  1. Bark for Drohn's Distillery and Bark for T'chali's Voodoo Brewery: Daily quest that rewards 15 tokens. You get the Drohns Distillery quest from Cort Gorestein and the T'chali's Voodoo Brewery quest from Ja'ron. You need to ride on the provided ram into Orgrimmar and yell at the Auction House in the Valley of Strength, in the Valley of Honor, in the Valley of Wisdom and the Valley of Spirits. Your character will automatically yell when you've reached the correct location. You have 4 minutes to complete the quest so make sure your ram doesn't get tired too often! Click the whip that was given to you in order to make the ram move faster and eat apples whenever you're near a basket to help with fatigue.
  2. There and Back Again: Begins with Ram Master Ray. This quest is repeatable every 12 hours and rewards 10 tokens. Once again you get to ride on the ram! You must retrieve 3 kegs from the Goblin who is stranded on Razor Hill and return it to the Ram Master's assistant before your ram disappears. Ride your ram close to the Goblin and he will toss the keg to you - make sure you have room in your bags! He will only toss one to you per trip so make sure you keep a good pace. Once you reach his assistant you will throw the keg to him.


Alliance Brewfest Quests

  1. Bark for the Barleybrews and Bark for the Thunderbrews: Daily quest that rewards 15 tokens. You get the Barleybrews quest from Becan Barleybrew and the Thunderbrews quest from Daran Thunderbrew. You need to ride on the provided ram into Ironforge and yell at the flags outside the bank, in the Military Ward, in the Hall of Explorers and in the Mystic Ward. Your character will automatically yell when you've reached the correct location. You have 4 minutes to complete the quest so make sure your ram doesn't get tired too often! Click the whip that was given to you in order to make the ram move faster and eat apples whenever you're near a basket to help with fatigue.
  2. There and Back Again: Begins with Neill Ramstein. This quest is repeatable every 12 hours and rewards 10 tokens. Once again you get to ride on the ram! You must retrieve 3 kegs from the Flynn Firebrew in Kharanos and return it to Pol Amberstill before your ram disappears. Ride your ram close to Flynn and he will toss the keg to you - make sure you have room in your bags! He will only toss one to you per trip so make sure you keep a good pace. Once you reach Pol Amberstill you will throw the keg to him.


Other Quests



  1. Direbrew's Dire Brew: Obtain Coren Direbrew's brew from his corpse. He's a boss that spawns only during Brewfest inside Blackrock Depths. Check out our mini-guide on how to take him down.


The Goods



Now that you know how to obtain a Brew of the Month Club Membership Form let's move on to the good stuff - the drinks! Each month you will recieve a drink in your mailbox that has a 14 day duration. Make sure you drink it before it expires! In case you forget there is a Brew of the Month vendor in both Ironforge (Stonefire Tavern) and Orgrimmar (in the Valley of the Spirits near the mage trainers). Note: she only sells the Brew for that month and you must be a member to purchase it. Each drink will give you a different effect. Below are all the drinks and their side effects!

  1. Wild Winter Pilsner: A weak alcohol that may bring out the beast in you. Turns you red much like the Hunter's Beast Within ability. When the effect wears off, you roar and stomp the floor (this makes nearby player's screen shake!)

  2. Springtime Stout: A weak alcohol that will put some Spring in your step. Periodically blooms flowers around you 10 seconds.

  3. Lord of Frost’s Private Label: The coolest drink around! Gives you a Chilled effect that will encase you in ice and stun you. You can remove this buff if you wish.

  4. Draenic Pale Ale: Weak, but smooth, alcohol. Makes you see Pink Elekks!

  5. Binary Brew: A weak alcohol, but a technological triumph in brewing technology. This brew will allow you to speak in Gnomish Binary if you are Alliance and Goblin Binary if you are Hore.

  6. Autumnal Acorn Ale: A weak alcohol that's good for you and good for nature. Drinking this will cause a squirrel to either run up to you and throw an acorn or follow you around temporarily in adoration.

  7. Stranglethorn Brew: A weak alcohol from the deepest reaches of the jungle. Welcome to the jungle, baby!

  8. Metok’s Bubble Bock: Weak alcohol with a light and refreshing taste. Causes you to feel bloated for 5 minutes!

    9. Note that Metok's Bubble Bock doesn't turn you into a drunken ogre (as much as we'd like it to).

  9. Izzard’s Ever Flavor: A weak alcohol that has a lot of head. Makes you gassy for 5 minutes!

  10. Blackrock Lager: This brew is hot! It burns your insides!

  11. Bartletts’ Bitter Brew: Full body goodness! Causes you to feel nauseous for 30 seconds - afterwards you throw up.

  12. Aromatic Honey Brew: Weak alcohol with some big taste! You become rooted, feared and attacked by bees. Good times!
